What is Owlcumen?+
Owlcumen is a 24/7 customer enquiry and follow-up system for small and medium businesses. It answers from approved business information, captures useful details, moves customers towards the right next step and gives your team the full context when a person is needed.
Who is it for?+
Small and medium businesses that lose time or opportunities to missed calls, slow replies, incomplete enquiries and disconnected customer channels.
Does it replace my staff?+
No. It handles repetitive front-desk work and prepares useful handovers. Your team keeps authority over sensitive, unusual and high-value decisions.
How quickly can we launch?+
Choose a plan, sign in, complete secure checkout and follow the guided setup. Website chat can begin as soon as you approve your business information. Phone, SMS and specialist features stay off until you choose them and approve a usage limit.
How does Owlcumen secure my details on sign-up and log-in?+
Owlcumen protects sign-up and login with encrypted connections, secure sessions and verified identity providers. When you connect email, calendar or contacts, Owlcumen works with Nylas’s secure authorisation system to keep provider credentials protected while making authentication simple and reassuring.
Do I need a new phone number?+
Not for the website channel. Phone features can use a dedicated number or an approved forwarding setup when you choose to activate them.
Do I need a website?+
No. Your approved Owlcumen business profile and knowledge can be the source of truth. Start with a hosted customer chat link, then embed the same assistant on a website later if you choose.
What does Owlcumen use as its source of truth?+
Only the business details, knowledge, documents and connected systems you approve. A website can be one source, but it is not required and Owlcumen does not guess from the open web.
What does the seven-day trial include?+
The trial includes the selected core plan and Owlcumen Signal. A card is required, but no subscription fee is charged until day eight unless you cancel first. Optional paid usage stays off until you approve it.
What are Owl Pro and Owl Ultra?+
Owl Pro adds Lead Machine, Paperwork Manager and Watchtower inside the Owlcumen workspace. Owl Ultra includes those tools plus AI CRM and Money Wizard for indicative revenue, saving and money-health signals. The public demo uses sample-only actions; live access follows the customer’s selected add-on subscription.
How does the referral offer work?+
An eligible Growth or Scale customer with Owl Pro or Owl Ultra shares their unique code. On another qualifying subscription, both businesses receive 20% off monthly billing. With annual billing, each receives a further 5% off the already 15%-reduced annual price, making the total annual saving 20%.
Are there referral limits?+
Codes work only for Growth or Scale with Owl Pro or Owl Ultra. They do not work for Starter or a core plan without an add-on, are for new customers, cannot be self-used, have no cash value and cannot be stacked. Owlcumen may review, suspend or reverse benefits linked to ineligible changes, cancellations, refunds, misuse or fraud.
Is customer data used to train public AI models?+
Owlcumen does not authorise connected AI services to train on workspace content unless the customer expressly opts in and the relevant terms permit it.
How are costs controlled?+
Subscription pricing is predictable. Optional AI, phone, SMS, data and add-on usage is shown in the workspace, with alerts and a hard cap before it begins.
How does Owlcumen keep its prices low?+
We come from industry, trades and small business, and we build the tools we wished we had in the real world. Owlcumen is built in-house and provided directly to customers, helping us keep unnecessary overheads out and prices accessible. Built by real people, for real people doing real work.
Can I cancel?+
Yes. Manage renewal in Stripe Billing. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the paid period; during trial, cancel before the displayed expiry to avoid the first subscription charge.
Could Owlcumen be tax deductible?+
Potentially. Where Owlcumen is used in carrying on your business and the expense is not private or capital, subscription fees may be deductible under section 8-1 of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997—potentially lowering the effective after-tax cost. Eligibility depends on your circumstances; keep records and confirm any claim with a qualified accountant or registered tax agent.
